KYOS DevOps Engineer vacancyWe’re expanding the team and looking for a new DevOps Engineer! Join our team of 15 programmers and DevOps engineers from diverse nationalities. Together we build, manage, and improve a large Laravel application used by clients across Europe and beyond. It is deployed via Docker containers and Kubernetes.

Job profile DevOps Engineer

You will be involved in all parts of the product and process.

Your tasks will include:

  • Maintain the KYOS application
  • Manage Infrastructure
  • Install, update and manage customer applications
  • Deploy using Docker-compose and Kubernetes
  • Observe the performance and stability of the application
  • Ensure of a smooth back-up process
  • Improve CI/CD pipeline
  • Discuss development approach with your DevOps colleagues
  • Co-ordinate activities with PHP team, QA analysts and Quant programmers
  • Improve and extend your skills by learning and sharing with other developers

We help companies make better financial decisions. We do this by providing a SaaS application with analytical software based on econometric and mathematical algorithms. Our customers are mostly large international companies that operate across Europe and beyond. They use our solutions to make investment decisions, manage price risks, optimize the use of their assets (such as (renewable) power plants, energy storage), and assess future market price scenarios. More and more of our clients are active in the field of renewable energy. We also have corporate clients that use our software for their commodity risk management.

We are a Dutch company with an international team of 35 people, working on software development (PHP team and quantitative modelling team), QA, IT support, marketing and sales.

Requirements for this position

  • Bachelor’s or Masters degree in a technical field
  • At least 3 years of work experience in the area of DevOps
  • Proficiency with Linux (including Bash scripting)
  • Production experience in container-based architecture and deployments (Docker, Docker-compose, Kubernetes, Helm)
  • Familiarity with observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana)
  • Experience with CI/CD tools and concepts (e.g., ArgoCD, Flux, GitOps, GitHub actions)
  • Expertise with IaC and provisioning tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible)
  • Excellent communication skills in English

Nice to have

  • Experience with Python or Go
  • Experience with AWS
