Free webinar: Natural gas storage update

Gas storage in turbulent times

free webinar: Gas storage in turbulent timesIn this webinar we will discuss the situation of (underground) natural gas storages.

The gas markets remain extremely volatile, and we saw considerable price increases due to further cuts in Russian gas imports since Nord Stream 1 is now offline indeterminately. This has been followed by decreasing prices over the last few weeks due to mild weather, strong LNG imports and high storage levels. On the latter: we see that gas storages are filled nearly to the brim: over 90% on average in Europe (source: gas.kyos.com, accessed 18 Oct 2022).

Cyriel de Jong and Ewout Eijkelenboom will go over the current economic and financial status of gas storages in Europe in this webinar. They will also give an update of the outlook on winter 2023.
