KYOS CCA to attend NEVI Procurement Day
The NEVI Procurement Day is the yearly event that the Dutch association for Procurement professionals, NEVI is organizing. Richard Cornielje will host a workshop to explain the advantages of the KYOS Portfolio and Risk Management System. Learn about the importance of risk management in your daily contract management, and how it affects the cash-flow of your company.
As a purchaser or procurement manager, you are involved in buying (multiple) commodities for the production processes of the business. Maybe you can demand price flexibility from your larger suppliers, which hopefully results in contracts with new price indexations. When contracts include price indexations to traded commodities, financial risk management becomes inevitable. In addition, risk mitigation via (financial) hedging will become common practice. This is where the complexity starts and you will have to involve your colleagues from finance and treasury
This workshop will show you how easy is it to manage your contracts in the portfolio system and how you can compare them. As a result, it will lead to the lowest costs and highest income for the business. For you, it will save time compared to an Excel based analysis.

Advantages KYOS Portfolio and Risk Management System
With the KYOS Portfolio and Risk system you can for example manage exposures, physical flows, financial derivatives and residual risks. In this workshop, Richard will give some practical examples of how a commodity portfolio and risk management system is essential for clarifying risks and calculating potential distribution of cash-flows. For example, what is the impact of changing commodity prices – including carbon emissions on your overall costs? Moreover, he will show how having a good understanding of your cash-flow risks is crucial for any business. With these insights, Procurement and Treasury are then able to select and execute the optimal hedging strategy.
