Commodity Trading Week 2024

We are delighted to be sponsoring Commodity Trading Week 2024. This event will this year be from 23-24 April, in the Stamford Bridge Stadium in London, UK. There are different streams: ComRisk, DigiCom, Shipping & Maritime and Traders Live. Furthermore there are sessions for Commodity Trade Finance, Commodity Investment Summit, Commodity Trading Markets and Women in Commodities.

The ComRisk programme aims to update you on all things risk related – from the impact of the pandemic, war, economic volatility on markets and risk management practices, counterparty risk, trade finance, the latest developments in risk technologies, as well as best practices around operational risks.

Richard Cornielje from KYOS will be speaking in the ComRisk section, on Tuesday 23rd at 12.40. His presentation will center around ‘Bean there, sugared that – advanced risk management for coffee and sugar’ and will feature a case-study of a food producer dealing with coffee and sugar. He will show the impact of current market prices on the daily business, but more importantly, how to look ahead. What is risk management, and which parameters should you take into account?

Report Insight in Risks

Have you seen one of our Insight in risk reports? Every month we look at a portfolio of commodities. Based on market price volatilities, correlations and Monte Carlo simulations, the report shows the important risk metrics such as Cashflow-At-Risk and Value-At-Risk.  How much is the amount at risk and what could you do to mitigate the risk?
